Inspiring hundreds of staff to get involved in the largest employee engagement programme of the year

Challenge

April at Starbucks means one thing, good things happen. Starbucks staff give back to their local communities with a series of volunteering projects. From volunteering at a local community centre to litter picking at their nearest public park, April’s Global Month of Good is the highlight of Starbucks year-round commitment to having a positive impact in the communities it serves.

Approach

I had a multifaceted design role on the project, from understanding internal platforms and processes to identify opportunities for promotional assets, to improving the user journey and streamlining the sign up, submission and engagement strategy, as well as creating an eye-catching brand identity which stands out amongst internal communications and motivates staff to participate.

Impact

  • 620 staff got stuck into events across the UK in 2024.
